We are seeking a self-driven, motivated professional to serve as an assistant for the office and warehouse to perform various duties as directed by company management. Responsibilities for this Office/Warehouse Assistant Include:
For the Office Part:
- Perform office duties as directed, including, but not limited to, handling paperwork, data entry and record keeping, producing and sending emails, letters, company brochures and product literature;
- Creating and editing product labels, brochures, product data sheets, marketing materials and other documents using graphics design software such as Adobe Photoshop;
- Scheduling outgoing and incoming shipments;
- inspect and verify shipments for physical condition and accuracy;
- Coordinating with suppliers, customers and service providers; sourcing and purchasing office supplies, warehouse supplies, machinery, equipment, computers, parts, and other items from vendors.
- Drafting and updating content for our company’s websites;
- Other matters required by the Management from time to time
For the warehouse part:
- Inventory count and verification, record keeping for warehouse and office supplies and equipment; data entry for shipping and receiving and maintain accurate records;
- Running errands using the Company’s vehicle;
- picking, packing and mailing samples and retail packages;
- Assist Supervisor and Management in maintaining compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA regulations and other regulatory requirements for the Company;
- For shipping and receiving, operating forklift and other equipment;
- when needed, manually carrying bags, drums and boxes and placing them on pallets and wrapping them with stretch film and storing them in designated places and steel shelves;
- labeling products with names and batch/lot numbers;
- bar-coding when necessary;
- When needed, operating our grinding and blending machines, tank mixers, pumps, filling and bag-closing machines
- Cleaning equipment, warehouse floors and other spaces when needed
- Other matters required by the Management from time to time
Qualifications and Skills
- Required education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with Equivalent Training and Experience
- Required experience: Administrative Assistant: 2 years
- Warehousing / Operations: 2 years
- Forklift certification is required
- Required languages: English
- Required licenses or certifications: Valid Driver’s License
